Why I love photography

I do not know who said it, but someone once said that:

“If you enjoy what you do, you'll never work another day in your life. ...

Although being a photographer is extremely hard work and not always that "romantic" or "idyllic" as it looks -I agree with above quote. I would not want to do anything else. I sometimes feel guilty being able to do something I love and getting paid for it!

But photography for me is not just about AV & TV, which make of camera you have (actually I don't really care about any of that too much...), but for me it is about people and documenting life...and being able to capture a moment in time forever. Going places and seeing new things or seeing extraordinary in the ordinary...

Photography forces you to SEE-not only the beauty and happiness in life, but also the harshness and sadness, but it forces you to embrace all of the above and helps you to make sense of this wonderful, crazy life.

Photography also instantly gives the person holding the camera a voice without using any words...giving you a chance to maybe make a small difference-maybe put a smile on the viewer’s face or showing people what they would not normally see in their everyday lives.

Through the lens you can show people what you saw and felt at a certain point of time and what you felt when you pushed that shutter.

Life is too short to not do what you love doing most and following your passion. I believe passion is a God-given gift...and I thank Him every day that He steered me in this direction.
